Mentorship seminar – Winter 2017

The Mentorship Program for the Cell and Systems Biology Student Union will be holding their first seminar for this semester and we would like to invite you to attend! It is on March 16th @ 6-8 pm in Room 15A in RW. This seminar is dedicated to help students such as yourselves acquire knowledge on what areas interest you most, such as:

  • Applying to research programs
  • Study strategies for memorization-based or problem-solving courses
  • Time-management skills
  • Enriching your extra-curricular experience

Students will be able to pick which two areas their seminar will pertain to, and will be assigned to two experienced and knowledgeable mentors who will guide them throughout the year. Mentors will also be available for contact after the session is done.

This is a great opportunity to ask questions to those that have more experience, and gain some guidance for your future at UofT. There are no restrictions on year or program. We look forward to seeing you there.

Find the Facebook link here. If you cannot view the link, you will need to join the Cell and Systems Biology (CSBSU) Facebook group first. We would appreciate if you RSVP with a “going” by March 11th, 2017 since we have to order food!

Hoodie pickup continues

Hoodies arrived last week, and they look very nice. If you ordered a hoodie, please pick it up during office hours!

If you didn’t order a hoodie but would like one, there is a chance – if enough people are interested, we may be able to place a second order. Tell us if you’re interested, and we’ll email you back if enough people want to order.
